The 23rd of February 2008, MDRTL and the Knights of Columbus installed an important pro-life memorial for the unborn at Patuxent River Assembly of God along route 4 in St. Mary's County. It is the 9th installation this year, and the 100th since January 2004.
The crosses are a memorial and not a political statement. They represent the number of unborn babies killed--4,000 a day, 28,000 a week, 50 million since 1973. We mourn for them and their families.
This is a photo of Isaac James Pontzer. He died at about 14 weeks after conception. He died due to an accident with his umbilical cord. It was wrapped around his leg and pinched behind his knee. He was stillborn on April 13, 2007. See how beautiful is the young baby! He had a funeral service and was buried at the Holy Face Catholic Church cemetery in Great Mills, Maryland.
Millions of babies at this age have been ripped apart and killed by abortion. They have had no funeral and burial with the dignity they deserve. The "Cemetery of Innocence" is for them and for all of us to morn their deaths.

The keynote message of the 26th annual Maryland March for Life & Rally was given by Pastor Luke Robinson of Quinn Chapel AME Church, Frederick MD on March 7th, 2005.
